I am more fascinated by the lock than by the key...

...and my drawing process often has certain similarities with lock picking, If I don't have an image in mind, I just focus on the current pin until all are held in position and the end result makes a working composition. Those are the more fun projects. But I also enjoy the problem solving aspects of creating portraits or drawings from an original.

Greetings, I am Lukas, 30 years old, one foot in this world, the other one inside my head.

I have always struggled with depression and anxiety, therefore, I do not have any awards or certificates to show. Although I've been challenged with my mental health for the past years, I still consider myself a happy individual who observes and studies the world around me every day.
For the most part, I am a self-taught artist, but I want to thank C. Wagner for her lessons and especially for keeping my interest in art alive and also Guido Neukamm, whose course teaches me a lot.
In future I want to focus more on using colours in my work and am interested in becoming more versed in oil painting.

I am a kind, nature- and people-loving human, though sometimes my reservation and anxiety-hiding mannerisms have been misunderstood.
A lot of my interests are reflected in my art, such as mythology, symbology, history, anthropology, languages, ships, nature, animals and anthropomorphism.
I am also a huge fan of gardening and self-sustainability. I appreciate pottery and other fields of craftsmanship, but I have yet to have the ability to explore these crafts as much.

Among custom paintings in aquarelle, acrylic or oil colours I can offer illustrations for books and covers, concept art & logos.

“To my amazement, I have heard that there are people who have never seen a gnome.
I can’t help pitying these people. I am certain there must be something wrong with their eyesight.”
